I have been taking photographs since my teenage years in South Africa. Most of my earlier work was black and white, because I am red-green colorblind (like ~10% of males). However, since I really like the colors I see, which may be different from what you see, I switched to color many years ago. Abstracts are my preference, but I take all kinds of pictures, although I rarely photograph people. I often use natural and everyday objects and textures to "paint" abstract pieces.

I print my photos on archival matte or watercolor papers using archival inks. Many look like paintings rather than photographs. The printed colors can be more intense than suggested by their appearance on some computer monitors.
